Collection: Plant Lover Shirts

Plant lover shirts for people whose windowsills ran out of room. Some say plant mom, some say plant lady, and some skip the title and just make the joke. Adult sizes run S to 4XL.

Loud plants or quiet plants

Half of these designs draw the plants: pots, monstera leaves, a shelf that is clearly holding more than it should. The other half skip the picture and go straight to the line. That difference decides whether people read your shirt from across a room or only once they are already talking to you, so every product page shows the actual print size on the shirt.

Plant mom, plant lady, or neither

Plant mom and plant lady are the two phrases people search for, and both are in here. So are the shirts that use neither, because not everyone wants a title. The sarcastic ones work just as well on somebody with four plants as on somebody with forty.

Green ink on garment-dyed cotton

Everything here is printed on Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz per square yard, garment-dyed, tubular knit so there are no side seams. The greens sit well on bay, khaki and seafoam because the shirt and the ink are in the same family. On black and espresso a white underbase goes down first, which makes those same greens read brighter than you would expect.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a men's version?

Of one design. All Plants Are Edible, Some Only Once has both a men's and a women's listing, with different colour ranges. The rest are positioned for women.

Which shirt colours suit a plant design best?

Bay, khaki and seafoam for the line-drawn ones, black and pepper for anything with bright colour in it. Each product page lists the shades that are actually live.

Which sizes are available?

S to 4XL on every shirt here. Flat measurements per size are in our Size Guide.

Do these run big?

Comfort Colors 1717 is a relaxed fit and it is not a slim tee. If you want it close-fitting, size down. If you want it oversized, you probably do not need to size up.

Is this a safe gift if I don't know which plants they keep?

Yes. Nothing here names a species, so you do not need to know whether they are a monstera person or a cactus person.

Will the print crack?

Not if you wash it cold and dry it low. What actually helps is written up in How to Wash Graphic Tees.
